Q: How do I know if chiropractic care is for me?
A: We understand that trying to find solutions to our health problems can be overwhelming at times. This is why we offer a COMPLIMENTARY 15-MINUTE CONSULTATION with the chiropractor to discuss if we are able to help you. Text to schedule 510-394-5035
Q: How much does the initial visit cost?
A: Our initial chiropractic visit is thorough will take approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour to complete from start to finish. Your Initial Visit will include a consultation, history, chiropractic exam, neurological exam, and digital thermography scan of the nervous system function, and any necessary x-rays, your first adjustment, and a report of findings after we have analyzed them, this costs $225. Upon completion your exam results, scans and x-rays will be analyzed and a plan for your best health and function for you and your spine and nervous system will be customized just for you. Then you will return for a report of findings (included with your exam). We generally take x-rays on most patients it allows us to give you better care, be more precise with our adjusting, and determine what techniques are best and safe for your body.
Q: How much does it cost to get adjusted?
A: First, I encourage people to associate their visits with getting checked for subluxation rather than coming in for just a treatment or an adjustment. Subluxation is any place in the body where misalignment or aberrant motion/function of the spine is causing interference in the brains ability to communicate with the body. The best thing we do is check you for subluxation, and then, adjust you to correct it. Single visits are $75. We have packages and payment plans that we can customize to help fit your budget and your family. And we offer a sliding scale for patients in financial need, If you are committed to your health, we will find a way to serve you.
Q: Why should I get my kids checked by a chiropractor?
A: We recommend that children be checked from birth - (our current patients who are with us during their pregnancy receive a complimentary at home adjustment within the first two weeks of their birth and a complimentary newborn “welcome to earth” check as well). All births whether long or short, natural, assisted or cesarean can put a lot of pressure on your baby’s spinal cord and nervous system. Even the baby’s position in the womb can have an early effect on spinal alignment. When these tiny infants begin to grow, learn to crawl, and eventually walk, freshly developed motor patterns often lead to numerous slips/falls, bumps, and bruises. Chiropractic adjustments are crucial to helping keep kids in alignment through these fast changing years. Kids exams and adjustments are simply $35.
Q: I’m pregnant is it safe to get adjusted?
A: Absolutely. We have special pillows and tables to create ease for pregnant women to get adjusted throughout all stages of pregnancy. Getting adjusted can create better birth outcomes, easier, faster labors, and optimal positioning and nerve supply for baby as he/she grows and develops. Got pain? Chiropractic care can help prevent discomfort like sciatica and round ligament pain for mommies whose bodies are changing too. I was adjusted through my entire pregnancy up until the day before I went into labor. As a mom I take special care and have real experience of the process both pre and post natal.
Q: Do you take insurance?
A: No, however for patients who have an insurance plan that covers chiropractic care, we provide a “superbill” which has all of the diagnostic codes that your insurance needs to see in order to provide you reimbursement for the services we provide.
Q: What is the “cracking" or "popping” sound during an adjustment?
A: Not all adjustments create a “crack.” However, the audible sound commonly produced during traditional chiropractic adjustments is the release of gas (nitrogen) from synovial joints. This gas can be built up from aberrant biomechanics associated with vertebral subluxations.
Q: Do you have recommendations for acupuncturists, massage therapists, naturopaths, and/or other complimentary health practitioners?
